起初我以为这是一场典型的讲座，就像之前在学校里听到的许许多多学术大咖的讲座一样。所以还有些纳闷为什么要跑到一个商业中心来举办……到现场之后发现并不是。事实上如果我事先查一下活动主题中”ESG“这个缩写的含义，或许就会早点搞明白这是一场把企业、学界、NGO等等所有stakeholders聚到一个屋子内进行交流的事情。 ...

早在高中的时候就在生物选修课本上读到过马世骏先生的“生态工程”思想和“社会-经济-自然复合生态系统”的理论，虽然只是寥寥数句，读到这一部分课本的时候却有一种茅塞顿开💡的感觉，体会到以系统的眼光看待人与自然交互的重要性。（回想起几本高中生物必修与选修课本，确实可以发现整个体系从一开始就在逐渐构建起自然环境与人类活动相互影响的世界观，为引出生态工程这一思想做了知识铺垫和价值引导，确实是费了很多内容编排的功夫。）可以说马先生的思想是我对于环境学的启蒙之一了。 ...

This is a draft version of course essay from Berkeley Summer Session 2021 (EPS-80). Introduction Huge environmental changes in my hometown have taken place for the past two decades of fast economic growth and industrialization, which is seen as a rough miniature of entering the Anthropocene. Using examples from class materials, my own experience and the book Under a White Sky, several key aspects of anthropogenic actions are analyzed briefly, including land use, agriculture, soil remediation and green house gas management.
